Chlorinated Paraffin

Basic performance:

Chlorinated paraffin-70 is also called high chlorine paraffin, chlorowax-70 and 70 type chlorinated paraffin, CP-70 for short, with molecular formula of C20H24Cl18 ～ C24H29Cl21 and molecular weight of 1060 ～ 1100. White or light yellow powder, tasteless, relative density 1.66~1.70.

The chlorine content is 70%. Softening point: 95~120~C. The refractive index is 1.540 ～ 1.580, the chemical property is stable, and it does not react with water, oxidant and dilute alkali at room temperature.

The stability to light and heat is poor. When the temperature exceeds 150 ℃, the stability starts to decrease gradually.

The color of chlorinated paraffin is white and slightly yellow. It can be used as flame retardant rubber with color number less than 700, paint or paint with color number less than 400, and the particle size is required to be more than 80 meshes

Purpose:

1. Fiber

Chlorinated paraffins 70 are used in coatings and varnishes for fibers, especially flame retardant formulations and moisture-proof layers for tents, and can also be used in fireproof cotton cloth, canvas, rope and other textiles.

2. Flame retardant

Chlorinated paraffin wax 70 has good flame retardancy durability, high compressive strength, softening resistance, tensile resistance, compression resistance, low volatilization performance and emulsification promotion function. It has the characteristics of moisture-proof and anti-skid, toughening, tackifying and anti-corrosion functions, anti ultraviolet light, anti radiation, anti oxidation and other effects. It is an additive flame retardant with good performance

3. Paint industry

In the coating industry, chlorinated paraffin wax 70 can be used in chlorinated rubber paint, acrylic resin paint and other fire retardant coatings to improve the flame retardant effect

4. Paper industry

In the paper industry, chlorinated paraffins 70 can be used as sizing agents, dielectric solutions and electrical insulating materials, as well as penetrants and emulsion accelerators
